WELCOME! I hope you enjoy sharing in the joy, frustrations and huge learning curve that I am experiencing as a mother. Through the 9 years of being a mom, I have appreciated those who not only listened, but also have helped by offering encouraging words and ideas. Because of past help I have recieved, I decided to pass on ideas at least once a week and hopefully get some more from YOU! If you know of other parents who would appreciate this-please share it with them. Let's enjoy the journey.

We've Been Booed!
We got booed this week and the kids just thought that was so cool. Someone from the neighborhood left a treat, a Boo Ghost, and a poem on our door step secretly. Then we are to make or buy a treat and do the same for two more neighbors. You should find a door that doesn't have a ghost on it that say's "We've Been Booed!" The kids wanted to go around the neighborhood and see who hasn't been booed. The thing I liked about this one is you can print it off the internet so you don't have to run to the copy center to copy the ghost and poem. There is still two weeks until Halloween, I'm sure you have time to get it started in your neighborhood. Here is the link for the poem and ghost. Happy Booing!

We had fun passing the Boo around but the kids had a hard time being secretive ha ha.
ReplyDeleteWe love it at our house so much that we usually start it on Oct. 1st in our neighborhood and we do 4-8 people. By doing that many we hope to have everyone in our "ward" and then some done by Halloween. The kids can't wait every year to do it. This year we didn't start it and when we got "booed" it was the one we used to start it 4 Halloween's ago and it was looking sad. So, I decided to write down a website on the back for people to print off their own copies. I found a Thanksgiving one a few years ago that I might do this year just for fun.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to put your ghost immediately! We got booed twice in the same night because I figured I could put the ghost up tomorrow. The kids were so excited, they wanted to boo lots of people. They were sad when I had to limit the number, so I could get the treats made.
ReplyDeleteDiana-you must be extra loved to get it two nights in a row! =) Tracy, I think that's a great idea to get it started at the beginning of October and to do 4-8 people. Otherwise it doesn't get to everyone. I would love you to send me the link of the one you use. Thanks!
